INTERVAL - Guinness World Record Attempts
Calling all commuters, leisure cyclists and Londoners! The Voi Bike Challenge provides a unique opportunity to race for fun on a spectacular closed road race circuit in the heart of the City of London. The Challenge is more than just a race, where responsible riding will be required to avoid penalties.
How it works:
Voi bikes will be positioned in a parking area past the finish line on Queen Victoria Street.
Participants will be assembled on the start line and will run to the bikes and use the Voi app to unlock a bike and start riding.
Participants will race across 5 laps of the Nocturne circuit (approx 15-20 minutes).
Riders must obey the rules of the road and stop at red lights at designated junctions on the circuit - failure to stop will result in disqualification.
At the end of the 5 laps riders must park their bike properly back in the designated parking area to complete the challenge and take a photo using the app. A parking official will be on hand to approve the parking.
The first rider to complete the challenge and correctly part their Voi bike will be declared the winner.
Failure to follow the rules and ride responsibly will result in penalties by the race officials.
How to enter:
The challenge is open to anyone - the only condition is that you know how to safely ride a bike!
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
An entry fee of £10 is payable to secure your place.
Simply click on the link and to register your place.
Terms of Entry:
All riders must wear helmets.
All riders must download the Voi app in advance and set up a Voi account - you will need this to unlock and park your Voi bike.
We recommend you familiarise yourself with the Voi bikes in advance > there will be two Voi Bike styles to choose from: the Explorer 5 and the Explorer Light 2
Developed in 2026 with the latest technology to be deployed: the Explorer 5 (E5 standard model) and the Explorer Light 2 (EL2 lighter model, geared towards women and older riders), support both short local journeys and longer cross-borough trips. Both models are designed for high durability, range and safety, supporting consistent availability without excessive swapping or on-street intervention, with a multi-year service lifespan.
